Hedgehog Grove is a small and selective breeder located in the Toronto (GTA), Ontario, Canada.
Our goal is to raise not only healthy and happy hoglets but ones that are well socialized and hand tamed. We breed first and foremost for health and temperament.
Colors, unique pinto patterns & facial markings are our next passion, and we try to have a good selection with our own hedgehogs and their babies. From the standard Dark Greys to Chocolates and the lighter variety from Browns to Pale Apricots and other dilutes. We also specialize in the rare forms Snowflakes, Pintos, Split Faces, White Faces, Patch Eyes and Leucistic (completely pinto with black eyes) hedgehogs.
We make sure all babies are handled each and every day once they are old enough to make sure they are very socialized and hand tamed prior to going to their new forever homes.
We go through an interview process before deciding to adopt out to "new" parents. We want to make sure that you are well informed and offer 24/7 hedgie information before and after the adoption. Please take a look at our policies page and read through it.
We register all our hedgehogs that come into our care with the IHR (International Hedgehog Registry). This includes our breeding herd and their babies, our pet hedgehogs and any rescues that come to us through personal rescues or Hedgehog Welfare Society.
